Toon Tone Vercel App Moved — Play Here Now
If you searched for toon tone vercel, toon tone vercel app, or the old Vercel app, this is the current official home of Toon Tone. The cartoon color guessing game now lives at toontone.app. Same game, same colors, no account needed.
The short version
The game previously deployed at a toontone.vercel.app-style subdomain has moved here. Players who saved a bookmark to the old tone Vercel app or searched Toon Tone on Vercel app should update it to toontone.app. Nothing about gameplay has changed: you still see a cartoon character, you still pull three sliders for hue, saturation, and brightness, you still try to match the original color from memory. Five rounds, then a final score and an optional share card.
Why we moved off Vercel
Three reasons drove the migration off the old vercel.app address:
- Memorability. Players told us they wanted a domain they could type without thinking. The old
toontone.vercel.appstring is hard to spell after a long day;toontone.appis short, branded, and easy to share verbally. - Brand independence. A custom domain means the game can move hosts, change CDNs, or scale up without rewriting bookmarks, share links, or backlinks. The Vercel subdomain tied us to a specific platform, and we wanted Toon Tone to outlast any one provider.
- Better sharing. A short branded domain looks cleaner when players share their score card on social media, and lets us issue tidy redirects to specific game modes or seasonal events in the future.
What Toon Tone is, in case you're new here
Toon Tone is a free browser-based color guessing game where you try to remember the exact color of a cartoon character's eye, hair, hat, jacket, or other visible part. The game shows a styled silhouette with the target color removed, gives you HSB sliders (hue, saturation, brightness), and lets you reconstruct the color from memory. When you submit, it scores how close your guess was to the original on a 0 to 10 scale.
It is not a quiz, not a wiki, not a video — it is an interactive perception game. Most rounds take under a minute. A full game is five rounds. There is a leaderboard for high scorers and a share card you can post anywhere.
What hasn't changed since the Vercel days
- Free to play, no signup, no download, no payment

What's new since the move
- A leaderboard for the top scorers each day and all-time
- A share card with your guess vs. the original side-by-side, exportable as PNG
- More cartoon characters and color targets, refreshed regularly

Frequently asked questions
Where is the Toon Tone Vercel app now?
The official and only maintained version of Toon Tone now lives at toontone.app. The old vercel.app subdomain may still resolve in some cases but is not the canonical home and is no longer receiving updates.
Is toontone.app the official Toon Tone game?
Yes. toontone.app is the current official home of the Toon Tone game. Play there for the maintained version, new characters, leaderboard, and share card.
Why did Toon Tone move from Vercel to toontone.app?
To get a memorable, brandable URL, decouple the game from any one hosting platform, and make share links and bookmarks shorter and cleaner. The Vercel platform itself was great — but we needed a domain we own.
Is the gameplay the same as the Vercel version?
Yes. Five rounds, HSB sliders, scoring against the hidden cartoon color. We've added more characters and a leaderboard since the move, but the core mechanic is unchanged.
Do I need an account to play now?
No. Toon Tone has never required an account, and that hasn't changed. Open the page, play, share if you want — that's the whole flow.
Can I still use my old vercel.app bookmark?
You can try, but update it to toontone.app. The old URL is not the canonical home and may eventually stop serving the latest build.
Is Toon Tone affiliated with Vercel?
No. Vercel is a popular hosting platform that previously served the early build of the game. Toon Tone is an independent fan-made project, unrelated to Vercel, any cartoon studio, or any rights holder.
I had a high score on the old version. Does it carry over?
Scores from the early Vercel build are not migrated to the new leaderboard. The leaderboard at toontone.app starts fresh — which means it's an open field for anyone who wants in.
Bookmark the new URL and tell a friend
The simplest thing you can do is replace any saved vercel.app bookmark with toontone.app. If you shared the old link with a friend, the new domain is shorter and easier to retype. If you blogged or tweeted about Toon Tone before — thank you — and please point future links to the canonical home.
