Toon Tone is a free browser-based color memory game. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have when you play at toontone.app.

Information we collect

You can play Toon Tone without creating an account, paying, or giving us your email address. We collect a limited amount of information needed to run the game and understand how the site is used.

• Gameplay results. When you finish a game, we may save your average score and round details, including the character ID, target color, guessed color, and score for each round.
• Leaderboard tags. If you qualify for a leaderboard prompt, you may choose a public tag of up to six characters. Tags are optional and are not tied to an account.
• Wall posts. If you choose Post to wall, we may save your optional display name, message, score context, character context, and browser user agent. These posts may appear on the public wall banner.
• Analytics data. We use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate traffic, page views, device/browser information, approximate location, referrals, and usage patterns. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies.
• Browser storage. Toon Tone may use localStorage to remember interface preferences such as your theme. This stays in your browser unless you clear it.
• Server and security logs. Our hosting, CDN, database, analytics, and security providers may process request metadata such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and URLs visited to operate and protect the site.

How we use information

We use this information to provide the game, calculate scores, show leaderboards, render share cards, prevent abuse, debug issues, understand which pages are useful, and improve Toon Tone over time.

What is public

Leaderboard tags, wall names, scores, and wall messages are designed to be public. Do not enter anything in a tag, name, or message that you want to keep private.

Third-party services

Toon Tone uses service providers to operate the site. These may include Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, Supabase, Cloudflare or other hosting/CDN providers, and browser platform APIs used for sharing. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.

Cookies and controls

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also clear localStorage from your browser if you want to reset saved interface preferences. Blocking cookies may affect analytics but should not prevent normal gameplay.

Children

Toon Tone is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 13, do not submit a leaderboard tag or wall post. If you believe a child submitted personal information, contact us and we will review the request.

Retention

Gameplay results, public tags, and wall posts may be kept while they are useful for leaderboards, community display, analytics, debugging, or abuse prevention. We may remove or anonymize entries at our discretion.

Your choices

You do not need to submit a tag or wall post to play. To request removal of a public tag or post, contact us with enough detail to identify the entry.
